Dear Steve,
<<If we want people with honesty, integrity, compassion, and humility to lead us, we need to change our concept of leadership. The way things are now, they wouldn't get past the first cut.>>

That is what I see as marks of true leadership. Jesus had all of these traits in magnitude and he is still leading men today. IMO it comes down to pride. A proud man is centered on himself and a humble man is centered on the people. It seems that today we can not have a leader like this but I believe we can at least one that is more discrete with his corruption.

My concerns with CLinton are far greater than this event for like you say even King David, Solomon and throughout history there have been problems in this area with men that have power. However, the lying with this and other major issues is unacceptable to me. No matter how much power a person has it never excuses them from basic moral decency. I think we should all wait to see what Ken Star produces and the level of scandals that are bound to surface from Clinton. When I see an ability to lie so coldly and directly I see a person capable of lying about anything that makes them uncomfortable.
Lets all hope for a new thinking in our leaders, to be men of integrity that we can trust :-)
Have a great and prosperous day,
Nancy
