Steven, I would be glad to list a few...

For a 2 1/2 year old, Jump start Pre-school, and Reader Rabbit-1. A Hard to find, one Gus goes to Cyberopolis, also Freddie Fish is a great memory game but you need to help them along the first few times. I don't know if you can find it, but with my computer I got this wonderful program from Novell called Novell Bundle. It has a terrific card maker and drawing program, great for a 2 year old practicing with the mouse. Both of mine loved to draw at that age. That's really about all a child needs at that age. The important thing I believe is to spend time with them on your lap learning and engaging them with the mouse. I never bought a childrens mouse either, they picked up very quickly after about a week with a normal mouse. I also did not buy them any pure games without education involved. For instance the race-car games, or the Disney programs. All pure junk as far as I'm concerned. My friends think I'm wrong about that, but I believe if the kids have never seen them, then they enjoy the interactive learning software even more.

A great program I played with all the kids from the time they were very small is Body Works, it's up to number six now. Ryan started on Body works 3. The Animals program from Mindscape is also fun to play with, very educational.

If their on your lap, and you're engaging them one-on one it's the BEST watching their little faces light up.
