Franco...relax

I'm not arguing anything you've said.

I am asking when is it time to be done with it? Over the years, we have had to hear/read/listen to numerous "indescretions" from politicians everywhere...not just Americans. Is there any doubt that Yeltsin likes his vodka? (at least he's honest about it)

The unfortunate point is "the people" lose everytime government comes to a standstill while the media becomes the focus.

I don't justify Clintons actions. Not in the least. But is he really any different from a lot of other political leaders around the world?
Maybe I've come to the point where I really don't care who he sleeps with or where. I didn't elect him to be a preacher. I elected him to govern. Maybe I'm not that "righteous" and don't expect others to be, either. (But I have been faithful to my wife of 24 yrs.)

Maybe I"m too much of a realist. Compared to JFK, Clinton is a boy scout. Wasn't it FDR that had his live-in girlfriend at the White House? So...what else is new?

Does it really matter that Clinton had an affair? The idea that he lied about it to the American people...is in your words...insulting...and I agree. But also take the time to look at why. He was in the middle of a highly politically motivated law suit.
I'm not justifying his actions...just understanding them.

Personally, I agree with his statement the other night that his private life is no ones business but his families. This "morality" that everyone banters with is a double edged sword...depending on which political party has a member in the spotlight.

Maybe I just see politicians as being....human...

Just my thoughts
Dave

Hi Franco, Bravo for a clear, concise statement of the problem
It is a clear refreshing statement toall the garbage coming from
the defenders of what....Garbage in the Whitehouse...Yes we are
all defamed by a reckless, character -less. We know him well
in Ark. Unfortuantely 40 yrs of one party breeds just this kind
of arrogance, contemp,of political power. Resignation would be
too easy. E.R.bell
