I am looking at trading index options for the first time since I don't like the volume on any of my put candidates etc. How does the settlement work out if I had to exercise "in the money" index options? I obviously would not be expected to buy every stock on the index so how is this done? Is it just a cash deal or what?

Also, do you have a source where I can get SOX, OEX, S&P open, high low, close and volume data that is historical? Tradepbs won't pull historical data on indexes, only stocks.

Wish I would have held those DELL calls, pretrading in the 119 area. Congrats to Electric.

Thanks

Lee
