If that made it right we wouldn't be bothered with the Ken & Monica show. It's quite obvious that someone knew something yesterday.

Its like Clinton. The sex doesn't matter, although that is what the spin doctors want to make you believe it is all about. It is about perjury and suborning perjury - very serious offenses.

The SEC won't investigate because LSI warned - of course companies warn all the time. It was the 3 times normal daily volume to the downside on a stellar day for all other semi companies that will grab their attention. WHO LEAKED WHAT TO WHO? Insider trading is illegal and someone will have some explaining to do. LSI was forced to warn before the market opened as damage control. The word was definitely out and they wanted to avoid a shareholder lawsuit.

By the way... I bought more at 15 3/4. I like the long-term fundamentals in spite of the horrible management which has created one debacle after another through the years.

If you look in today's Wall Street Journal Heard on the Street column, you'll read that Zoltek is probably being investigated for the same trading patterns seen in LSI yesterday.

Yesterday, LSI traded nearly 3 times normal daily volume.
Trading activity picked up shortly after noon, the same time as the slide in stock prices started. This morning, the warning.

Certainly smells like unequal information dissemination to me.

Arthur Levitt is on record as declaring he will crack down on this type of insider information trading.

And, IMO, it's about time that the playing field was made a little more level. Even though individual investors are still fighting against at least a 45 degree incline.

FWIW,
Ian.
