RESEARCH ALERT - Dell EPS estimates raised
NEW YORK, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Wall Street firms on Wednesday raised their earnings estimates for Dell Computer Corp (DELL - news), after the computer maker's second quarter earnings soundly beat analysts' expectations.
-- Bear Stearns ups its estimate on 1999 EPS to $2.10 from $2.00 and 2000 EPS to $2.80 from $2.75.

-- Morgan Stanley ups 1999 EPS estimates to $2.08 from $2.00 and 2000 EPS to $2.85 from $2.70.

-- Goldman ups year-end 1999 EPS view to $2.05 from $1.91 and year-ending January 2000 EPS to $2.55 from $2.31.

-- CS First Boston raises its 1999 estimates for Dell to $2.10 from $2.00 and its 2000 EPS expectations to $2.70 from $2.55.
