Pat,
At lunch the other day you asked about this one for a relative.

"Global Crossing (GBLX), which has been called "Wet Qwest (QWST)," since it operates an underwater network of fiber-optic wires, priced a huge 21 million-share offering at $19, also at the high end of the expected range. Salomon Smith Barney is the lead underwriter.

Global Crossing shares opened at 23 1/2 and rose another 8.5 percent to close its first day of trading at 25 1/2 in trading of more than 19.2 million shares."
