ISLD is only useful for non-marketable limit orders. Firms like CyberTrader, MB Trading, etc. give you the options of using SOES for quick marketable orders fills, SelectNet preferencing and broadcasting for both marketbale and non-marketable orders, other ECNs (like INCA which handles twice the ISLD's volume and is often active after the bell, or ARCA which automates some order routing).
