TransMedia Accepts PR Challenge Of
Digging Up Publicity For Gold Mines And Silver Mines Still
Buried Under Skepticism From Bre-X Scandal

BOCA RATON, Fla., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- TransMedia Public Relations announced it has been
retained by Panther Resources Ltd (OTC Bulletin Board: PTHR - news) to change the spin on
precious metals mining from negative to positive in the financial community.

''We believe that Panther is a legitimate mining company with highly promising silver interests in
Mexico, which we intend to promote from Main Street to Wall Street,'' said Margie Adelman,
TransMedia's President. Panther is a public company whose stock trades on the Bulletin Board under
the symbol PTHR. The current price is 17 cents a share. The high was over $3 in 1997.

''This might not be the ideal time to launch a public relations campaign for gold and silver mining in
Latin America, but we're up for the challenge,'' added Adelman.

''Ever since the infamous Bre-X scandal last year, in which investors lost millions of dollars in a phony
gold mine in Indonesia, the entire sector has been off Wall Street's radar screen, driving the price of
securities of public companies like Panther to all-time ridiculous lows,'' according to TransMedia's
Founder and Chairman, Thomas J. Madden, who is author of a new book entitled ''Spin Man.'' ''Now
with the Asian crisis spreading to other emerging markets like Mexico, it's like being hit with a double
whammy,'' he added.

''Here's a company whose mine is producing tremendously rich silver ores, yet investors don't seem to
know or care,'' Madden said. ''We intend to buck the trend and change the direction of the spin on
mining,'' he said. ''We'll begin by inviting reporters to Mexico to see first hand what is actually coming
out of Panther's mine, which they can compare with geological reports, surveys and other hard
evidence.''

''The challenge here is to cut through deep layers of skepticism about gold and silver mines so that
legitimate and productive mining companies like Panther can attract deserving capital,'' Madden said.
