Wet Seal Inc. (WTSLA) said same-store sales rose 4.3% in the latest quarter, compared to a decrease of 1.6% a year ago.
The company said it acquired 83 Britches stores in July and plans to reopen them as Arden B., Limbo Lounge, Wet Seal and Contempo stores in the first quarter of 1999.
Wet Seal, a specialty apparel retailer, said it plans to open about 40 stores in the second half of this year.
