A few years ago a General, who was separated from his wife at the time, was forced to resign when it was discovered that he had an affair with a junior officer. There are other examples of CEO's of large companies who have also resigned for comparable reasons.

Why? It is considered an abuse of power and position. In the case of the military it is also considered detrimental to command system. Should the Commander in Chief be held to the same standard? I think so.

Senator Packwood was kicked out of the Senate for inappropriate behavior (it was just sex) why not the President?

Of course Starr has been out to get the President. That was his job as independent counsel. He was selected by Janet Reno and his investigations including the Monica matter was approved by a three judge panel. Perhaps he enjoys his job too much so what.

The bottom line is what President Clinton did was wrong, morally ethically and legally.
