Larry,

Thanks for your reply. I really don't have as much faith in the SEC as you do. I don't know what their motivation is, but I think it is unconscionable for them to give the Solv-Ex technology to their competitors, regardless whether it is sound or not. The SEC could have used the engineering firm that Solv-Ex employed, or they could have found some other independent engineering firm. What do you think the response from the competitors would be? Even if the process is 100% sound, do you think the competitors would admit to that, in light of the fact that they probably would be forced to use a more environmentally friendly process and clean up their messes? As I remember, the reasoning the SEC used to justify their actions, is that they did not have knowledge to make the judgment whether or not the process did or did not work. So why should we take their word that it failed and cannot be easily fixed?

You obviously have your doubts about Solv-Ex, and I can respect that. I believe Solv-Ex and as you know, I am not going to be swayed until I have evidence that neither you nor I are probably going to have in the near future. But the people from Raisio and Acidos y Minerales de Venezuela more than likely have seen the Solv-Ex TiO2S technology and they seem to be willing to give it a try. Koch Oil is going to give the Solv-Ex bitumen technology a shot. That is the best evidence I have that there is something to what Solv-Ex says, so I am holding on to my shares.

One other reason I am going to hold on to my shares, is that I believe that the stock has not been trading rationally for some time now. I think there are a lot of shares short, that we will not find out about until December 1. I think if Solv-Ex has some even marginally good news in the next few months, that there is the potential for a short squeeze and at least a short term run-up of the stock. Looking at my downside I don't have much to lose so I am going to wait it out.

Again, I appreciate you taking the time to respond to my posting. It is nice to hear the other side expressed intelligently, even if I don't agree with it.

Regards,

Mark
