I, on the other hand, am buying now (or in the very near future -- I managed to dump some shares this morning, but strictly as a short-term trade). If bookings, and especially the BTB, don't start rising soon, I'll be showing paper loss, but at least the BTB ought to bounce up soon as the bookings shortfalls work their way through the system.

Yes, buying when things look terrible (and blood is running in the streets!) isn't a bad strategy. The only question is how long the blood will keep flowing, vs how long are you willing to let your money move sideways or down, vs the opportunity cost of missing the "true" bottom.
