It is also wise to consider the issue of "fighting the last war" when discussing things like Silicon Valley support for Democratic candidates in the last go round. I would seriously doubt that the majority of corporate leaders still see their corporate situation vis a vis the global economic situation in the same light as they did in times past. Who would be so bold to say that they will follow the same political thrust in the future. In fact there's a minor election campaign underway right now, anybody heard word one out of any of the valley's corporate heads ? I haven't.
