50/50 odds he will be gone before the end of his term. I know it doesn't look that way now, but wait ...

I2 , from what I've understood, Starr had 300 pages prior
to and unrelated to Lewnski. I don't think he'll be
impeached but he'll continue to be questioned here and there.

Clinton and his clan have made a huge assumption that
they can turn the investigation in a "political debate"
not a "constitutional issue". What they have done over
the last seven months however is erode their own political
support at the highest elected levels in Washington, e.g
Sr.Kerry, Rep. Gephardt many, many others, including his
own Cabinet. The remaining Democratic leadership will not rally
the party behind someone who cashed in huge political chips in the process of deceiving that political base and their constituency.
Not when they think they can win hands down with Gore in two years
utilizing an incumbent position.

If the evidence presented by Starr is sufficiently damaging,
Clinton will lose his bet on continued Partisan support IMHO.
Instead of circling the wagons, Democrats may instead invite
the President to their own breakfast meeting and urge him to
resign.

I mistrusted Nixon, just as I mistrust Clinton now. I couldn't
imagine sitting across a table from the President and believing
a word he says. He lied about Flowers, he lied last January, he lied this last week just seven days ago to close confidants, so why should
anyone believe anything that dissembler says about anything? I'm
betting he lied again last Monday night to the American people about
a cover-up. And I don't think fellow Democratic congressman will
stick their political necks out again for Bill.
