Congratulations, Wally, for post #7000! And congratulations
to all who have made this topic a scintillating, informative,
and pleasant place to hang our hats. This thread is, after all,
a topic within the SI coffee shop, and it is hoped that most
of us have thoroughly enjoyed the hours spent here chatting
with the good fellows and ladies of this thread whilst sipping
the coffee or that proverbial "sweet cup of tea."

It's the long pattern of skirt chasing, lies, half-truths & legal bs.

Well, what do you think Washington or Jefferson would have done if they were grilled about their "skirt-chasing activities"? It would have been the same "lies, half-truths and legal bs" there too.

As far as I am concerned -- one, the whole affair was consensual; two, it didn't imperil the national security and three, it didn't detract the President from doing his job. So it's really none of my business. He is the President for crying out loud, not the Pope!

And as I said before, if we had meddled the same way with Washington or Jefferson, you and I might not be living in the US of A, but perhaps in two warring "banana republics"!

Dipy.

don't forget to add perjury along with an attempt to cover up said perjury..thr ONLY reason he fessed up was b/c of monica's dress and the threat of that stain. otherwise, imho, he'd be sticking to his lie like oj to his aliLIE..

the justice system falls apart when perjury is accepted as ok...

no justice then no civilization - if you can call this civilization ;-)
