Verio Inc. started with a buy rating and price target of $40. Verio is leader in the business Internet access and web hosting
market. Company's target market, the small to medium-sized business market, is an underserved, fast growing and attractive
market.

Here is my next question: Why do their partners/associates/whatever, seem to be succeeding, while SWEBF/SKI continues to flounder?

...trading at the price of a bag of m&m's...

At least with a bag of M&M's you've got a chance to win $2,000,000. :)

On a more technical note, I don't think that Turbofind would provide an appropriate engine for supporting a portal site. It looked like to me, when I saw it, that it actually used the other guys work to get the search returns. That is, you tell it to find X on Altavista, it searches Altavista for X. Anyway, I haven't seen it on any shelf recently, so I expect Alpha has ceased to produce it as well. While the ability may lie with the lads in Canada i.e. Softquad inc. Alpha has neither the talent or infrastructure to create the kind of portal you describe. It is, however, a great idea for a company with vision...

NewKidCo IPO? >>and then there's adam adamou of Taurus..
>>what is THAT all about

staring us right in the face and didn't figure it out!?... the definition of an IPO is everything NewKidCo stands for...burgeoning growth industry [playstation/console edutainment]...dominance [their stated objective and CTW/Warner/Sony exclusive licenses]...barriers to entry [CTW/Warner/Sony exclusive licenses and Kaplan/Harber]...officers [Kaplan, former President Philips Media; Harber,President of KinderActive/Diva]...NewKidCo is the definition of an IPO...and would certainly justify everything the Rabins are doing if that is in the cards in the very near future...on the other hand if it isn't...they would /will have blown it, again?, big time...the IPO would be NewKidCo with SWEBF/SKI as its largest shareholder and without the baggage of SoftQuad Inc's IPO/following/street rep...again, if this is not in the cards in the very short-term the shareholders will simply have been victims of bandwidth...again...SWEBF/SKI dilution would be welcome [pursuant to the right NewKidCo IPO valuation and any signifiacant NewKidCo competitive advantage working capital requirements not fundable from their/SWEBFs/SKIs current financial structure]...Taurus is also involved as a boutique merchant banker/IPO underwriter...hence perhaps why Taurus [Ontario] is representing SoftQuad with the HoTMetaL spin-off and why they are also so visible in the press regarding their enthusiasm for NewKidCo...a U.S. Company...???
