Linda,

>>What kind of paint CAN we spray on iMac if we want to change its color and still see-through?

We could use the same paint that the makeup artist will use on Bill Gates during his testimony; he should be pretty transparent up on the stand!

If you want something really wild, I have some glow-in-the-dark paint which could be thinned and sprayed on the inside of the iMAC to give it a soft aura.

Cheers,

Norm

Linda,
betcha an aftermarket replacement crops up soon, and sells well, especially if someone will do the swap without voiding the warranty.

BTW, enuf "paint" to change the color will just cover over the translucence. Only shot I see is to add a filter layer of another color to move the blue around the color wheel a bit (eg, a wash of yellow --> green), but it won't move it much if you prize the see-thru effect. Otherwise, think replacing the plastic. Then there's the keyboard, mouse, etc. to modify as well.

Glitter might appeal to some, too, and would be more practical. Just some thoughts.
