The Prudent Bear Fund (BEARX) is a managed bear fund. The annual mgmt fee (around 4%) is a lot higher than Rydex Ursa, which is based on shorting the S&P 500.

Both of these funds have lost money steadily during the bull market, of course.

Diamond, Potomac funds and Pro funds have SP500 short and NASDAQ short funds. You also can sell short SPY (SP500 depositary) and DIA (Dow Jones Industrials Average). SPY does not require an uptick to short. For more info look at amex.com
