Above all else, the central issue is credibility, no? We know Clinton
has lied to the public, his closest advisors, wife and daughter, and the grand jury. Every single statement he makes is suspect, and suspect in the highest degree. How can we have a President that we can't trust to tell us the truth?

If we had a CEO who had lied to the Board, the shareholders, all employees, and a grand jury, and done so repeatedly over many months, would we leave him in? Especially when it was the 20-something engineers (Silicon Valley) and not the CEO (President) that has been driving company profits (GDP growth). No, we'd wonder what an honest CEO (President) could have accomplished under the same conditions.

The same exact situation has ruined many politicians before Clinton.
The only thing keeping him safe is the economy. If the economy were
rotten, 80% of us would want to know why he was getting/giving blow
jobs when we were out of work.

Would foreign countries and potential adversaries feel the US is
weak because we kicked out a popular president during an economic
boom? No. Rather, it's a function of the same system that has kept
the US on top for over 200 years, and this will be recognized.

Mike

This is my problem with it.... not anyone elses.....

What Clinton has done is wrong. He could not even stop weasel-wording for 5 minutes when he addressed his constituency. Any benefit of the doubt, I might have given him is gone now. If he speaks, I feel the need to wait until his words have been transcribed and then study them to try and figure out what he means by terms like "inappropriate, relationship, commitment, etc.".

He couldn't even just say the words, "I apologize."

How would you like to be Madelyn Albright? "Hi guys, I'm here to negotiate a tough position on behalf of the USA." Unless she's in France, they're laughing their a&& off.

Silly, Stupid and Vain...... Oh yeah, I loved where he said this was between him, his family and "our God".

The only problem with him resigning, is we get Gore. Now if we could negotiate a 2 for 1, with a President to be named later.....

LOL

Shheeesh!!
