<Off>Yeah, I've thought about Cisco on the tech side, and am looking at
EMC right now as well. Then there's Schering-Plough and Warner-
Lambert for drugs.

I really want to keep in the 8 stock range, with 10 max. If I just
stay with PFE and no other drugs, then Cisco might be an addition.

Do you think there still is a lot of upside still left? And are they
diversified enough for the real long term? EMC seems to
be a relatively undiscovered up-and-comer with equally good
fundamental numbers. They are in hardware and getting into software
big time, too.

Regarding this topic, Fortune Magazine recently had an article that
resulted from a survey of top analysts as to what would be the best
stocks to buy and hold "for decades". The article was targeted to
those interested in stocks for retirement which will outperform "in
any market". Sort of like Gorilla's in their areas, and in some cases
in their indexes (some are good picks cuz they are in the Dow and
Index funds are forced to buy them).

Anyway, two of them are foreign stocks that I and probably you have
never heard of, while the remaining 8 are listed below by sector.

I took the prices for the 'Fortune 10" as of August 1, and did the
same for the "Marc's 6" as of the same date and set up competing
Yahoo! portfolios investing equal amounts in each stock of an
investment base of 150K in each portfolio. Actually it's Marc's 7,
cuz I doubled up on Pfizer, cuz to match their two drugs. I'm want to
see how I do against them over the years.

So, if I were to buy Cisco, I'd be joining the competition. [:^)
