Could lead to others in sector to have increases as well. **************************************************************** Internet search engine company Lycos Inc. reported stronger-than-expected results after the market closed Wednesday as revenues surged. Excluding special items, the company reported a loss of $1.6 million, or 9 cents per share, for its fiscal fourth quarter, better than the 13-cent loss expected by Wall Street analysts. Revenues for quarter ended July 31 were $19.0 million, representing an increase of 26 percent over the previous quarter ended April 30, and a 145-percent increase over the quarter ended July 31, 1997.
