James: Here's a Hollywood joke for you,
Two kids arguing, one says "Ya! my daddy can whip your daddy"
The other one says, "what'er you talking about my daddy is
your daddy

LOL

Maybe a more true, but sadder punch line would read...."What'er you talking about, neither of us have daddies."

Hi Jim, When I saw the NASD gap up big in the first few minutes, I turned off my computer and came to the lake. I knew it would not stay up on that move and figured they would sell into it real heavy.

I am running the scans right now and will post them in a few minutes.

Monty

Jim, I also run scans for NH NL, Adv Issues Dec Issues, & Adv Volume Dec Volume for the same ones that I run our MA scans on. In other words the info is broken down by NYSE, NASD, NASD100, SP100, etc. (I don't publish these because I don't want to clutter up the thread more than I am already with the other scans.)

The internals on all these were as bad and in a few cases a little worse than they were on 8/13/98. Yet the Indices didn't show this.
Therefore, I think this confirms what you said earlier about the negative tick and the Indices not reflecting the severity of it.
In other words, I say we are down again tomorrow.
