El and CGarcia: Yes I caught that discussion. It led off the day as the first topic in a discussion between Mark Haines and his sidekick Joe (can't remember his name, "Kernan"?). Joe was emphasising that "old technology" e.g. Intel and Compaq and a few others, was, just like Cramer said it would last week, leading a recovery in techs. He pointed out that Intel was over $90, after a long time languishing much lower, and that Compaq had closed above the significant $36 figure which had not happened since, whenever. He thought that this looked like a breakout. It was all general stuff.

Either they, or someone else later in the show, returned to the topic noting the strong volume in both these stocks.
