I think what you have stated is a VERY good possibility. Question: were those penalties for actions in 1996 or were the interest and penalties for actions in 1995 or before. If from a previous year, at least the actual 1996 loss would be slightly reduced.

i very rarely respond..i am still long on famh..but payroll.taxes bother me..i do payroll and i know what the penalties are if not filed on time..i always file..ON TIME..the penalities and interest even for one month are not worth it...but hopefully new management has turned all of this past history around..
