Well, I went to Micro Center here in Boston yesterday to check out the iMac.

They had three on display and of the 60 they had in stock ... two were left. The screen was really nice. I was impressed and I'm really picky. Although I didn't really like the overall look ,others there thought it was really cool.

It worked well although the sound was so/so and the mouse took a little getting use to. If I needed another machine I would definitely consider it. While I was playing someone bought one ... so now there was only one left ... I didn't stay to see if it lasted the night.

This machine is the best move apple could have made. It's the machine which will bring the market share and the software developers back to apple. I hope apple makes this a tradition: low cost great performance products. I have no doubt that the high end high margin products will also be in demand but ... not with out this low end base.

Essam,

From your recent posts, it seems you are anxious to see AAPL rebounce
back. Hehe..., Don't worry about it. AAPL will get back to where it
was this morning. Now, it faces the option expiration Friday and
hence the stock will behave wildly. I always try not to believe the
impact by options, but it seems they more or less affect stock's
movement. I believe the worst scenario is that AAPL retreats back
to where it started last Monday at $40.125, which is unlikely but
possible. If that occurs, I would buy more for the short-term
investment. Today's was majorly derived from profit-taking,
sepecially the swift down-ward in the final hour.

We still can catch iMac sales from Japan as quickly as by the end of
this month. Well, for me iMac sales volume will be too good to be
true, which I couldn't take my eyes off it.
