Re: "Following LSI, NSM offered a warning today. In the first half of this year, small
semis were hurt badly. I think, in the second half of this year, middle semis will
feel painful."

P.M., you seem to be making a pattern out of this (small semis get hurt first half, middle second half). Any reason for the pattern? Do you see it continuing to more of the middle ones get hurt this half, and maybe the big boys get it later?

P.M.,

do you know if ADI, LSI and NSM are fab or fabless chip makers?

It seems to me that fabless chip makers should benefit from a cut throat low cost environment. If they are doing badly, then the demand has to be a big problem for them not to take advantage of low cost.

On the other hand, if they have fabs, then the likelihood of them increasing cap exp seems rather unlikely under current circumstances.

Now combine above with July btb, the picture sure doesn't look good.
