tipol;

Thanks for sounding off. Don't be too shy and please post again. I actually find little in your post to disagree with in spite of my armageddonish post a bit ago. I have also been combing Singapore stocks for future targeting. I am very wary of Indonesia though I sense that there must be some bargains there. However, in general, I am still taking a wait and see stance as I still believe that we are in a volatile situation that could turn much worse rather then better. While, I think your brief assessment of the various Asian markets is accurate, and would love to hear more detail, I still will wait a bit before plunging in.

best,
Stitch

This was an interesting post. A couple of questions I have: where do you obtain the balance sheet info on these smaller Cos., and do you think it is reliable and sufficiently complete? Who audits these statements?

tipol:

I would be very interested in hearing more about the net-nets that you mention exist in Japan, Singapore and elsewhere.

I would also be very interested in understanding where you obtain sufficient financial data to make the analyses.

I hope you will find time to continue this line of discussion.
