Nuc, I don't know about APA but buying the stock because the insiders are buying is not a prudent behavior. If APA is an oil stock, I would not be surprised if they are buying their own stocks because these people are truly in love with their own company and they will keep buying until it falls another 100% (examples should be easily found in the drillers for the past 1 year). Remember what Big Dog said about these folks? They will keep building rigs because that is where they see their business going. Bigger means dorminance. Therefore, they are not the most objective people one should look to to base buy or sell decision on, IMO. One can argue they know something good is up, well, other than a potential buyout (which would means this insider buying is illegal), they are as clueless as anyone as to how crude price will be in next few months.
