Richard and Peace- this is not how MRV Communications sells.

Think of buying a meal- it takes a special talent to serve up a good dinner for two.

Now think of catering a wedding for 300. Totally different scale.

MRVC specializes in putting in big campus wide networks- truckloads of stuff. Don't expect to buy an 8 port hub from these guys. Expect to buy 50 8 port hubs from them.

This is done by their direct sales force and their sales associates- (networking consultants.)

Noam has explained in past conference calls how he admired the consumer approach that 3com was taking, but that MRVC did not do business in that way. Instead of advertising to the wedding guests, the MRVC caterers are going to market directly to the people who coordinate big feasts.

Now, I'm going to read some financial stuff! Pink has piqued my interest. I think MRVC is straight up, but it is so much easier to raise fears. That lil' ENVY makes an interesting story.

Is mrvc agressive or conservative in their accounting? As I recall, the types of "intangibles" that xyplex had on the books looked pretty shakey to me, and the company wrote those off. How long do they amortize for? I would think for as long as they plan on having a sales, service, and engineers for networking products, because that is what they bought.

Unless those Edgeblasers start to sell this Quarter!

Well, the only way to find out is to hold on and see! Help from the Accountingly Able is always appreciated...
