Richard,

I think Saul has long given up on mrvc and moved on elsewhere along with mr. green and stu and others. This co's stock performance is incomprehensible regardless of the bullsh*t being thrown at it from the likes of the pink. If there is anybody to blame, it is mrvc's bozo leaders, imo. Yes, I know some of you may say they built 20,000 into whatever mrvc is now. Big deal. Look at dell. He started in a garage for crying out loud. Did he sit on his laurel. He always has vision as to where dell should be and what it has to do to get there. This, my friends is what the bozo leaders of mrvc, imo lack. Vision and execution, not lack of good products and good workers. It must be frustrating to work at mrvc especially if they have stock options for employees. This shit goes backwards two steps for one step it moves forward. Mr. Noam or whoever you are running mrvc, please review some of these posts. You may learn a little. There is always a chance to learn. If some of you do not believe bad management can kill a co., you got your head buried in the sand. I think mrvc has ,imo, arrogant leaders who are wall st challenged(stupid),imo. peace and good luck.

Why would the SEC worry about us small fry, when much bigger companies write off much more? Look at LU:

Lucent plans to take a $80 million charge for in-process research and development related to its acquisition of SDX Business Systems, a maker of business communications systems. Lucent acquired the company on July 14 for about $200 million in cash.

Lucent also plans to take a one-time $65 million charge related to the
$115 million purchase of LanNet, a maker of switching technology for networks.

The company plans to take a charge related to the $70 million acquisition of JNA Telecommunications Limited, an Australian telecom manufacturer. The intention to acquire JNA was announced in July and the deal is expected to be completed by the end of the quarter ending in September. The amount of the charge is yet to be determined, according to the SEC filing.

Then we have writeoffs from LU's acquisition of Octel last October, Livingston last November, Prominet last December and for Yurie too.

This has to apply to EVERYONE. CSCO takes huge R&D writeoffs too.
