NAQ/Real Time Trader??? Are you joking? I came to Interquote FROM NAQ/RTT because RTT frequently went dead (average 3-4 times per day, at 20 minutes a pop). In addition, in the first half hour of trading, the quotes were always delayed by at least 5 minutes. THEN, there were those pesky times where you couldn't even log into the system, much less get quotes. Plus, I remember promises of expanding the service to include option quotes (never happened).

Just as lousy as your service was your customer support. 20 people would complain about having the same problem(s) on the SI boards (can't connect, servers are down, slow data feed, etc.) and NAQ would respond with "The problem must be on your side...maybe your ISP is dead."

I left NAQ about 8 months ago for Interquote and have never been happier. Downtime is rare (perhaps once every three months). And from the looks of your own SI board, NAQ's problems are just as bad as they were when I left. The day I leave IQ for NAQ is the day someone has me committed to the Looney Bin. At $30 a month, your service is still overpriced.

That said, why should I leave a quote service that I'm perfectly happy with for NAQ? Your interface is fairly nice, but if the data being displayed on your interface is delayed or inaccurate, your service is basically worthless. In summary, I'm shocked that you would have the gall to even come onto this BB to promote your sub-standard service. Maybe I should go onto NAQ/RTT's board and advertise IQ.

Hi Diver,

Thanks for the tips - I will remember for the future.

There is a free delayed version of RT Trader. Visit our website at www.naq.com and download from there. Then visit www.kanisa.com and follow links for Internet Trader. You can register for username and password there. This is a free version all the time.

The technology used to drive website quotes is quite different than a direct connection to the RT servers. So in answer to your question - yes its faster as a matter of fact its realtime streaming (except before 10:00 am which is about 2 min lag ). Always keep in mind however that internet connections count on so many factors including your ISP, how many hops to get where you're going, Routers at various points around the world and modem speed.

A good site for keeping track of this stuff is - www.internettrafficreport.com . It will always keep you informed of the status of several areas of North America and how they are responding.

See ya,
Carole Olkowski
