Thanks, Stitch. That might be the case here. I contacted Dell awhile back (a year or so) and they gave me a pretty good breakdown by DD maker. Funny thing is they said they were using almost all WDC's and when I ordered a Dell PC w/a 8.4 gb HD, it arrived w/ a Maxtor (which has worked great but they told me it would either be WDC or IBM).
