Thank you for the correction and clarification, but I reiterate, he took responsibility for a lapse in judgement, only. He isn't taking responsibility for lying, costing the public millions, dragging his supporters through the mud, making them look like fools, etc., etc., only for a lapse in judgement. Notice he doesn't say what that lapse of judgement was?

By the way, what could he do to make things right? How about really apologizing. How about paying for the costs associated with his lies, the way Gingrich was made to pay the costs of the Congressional investigation when he admitted to having "made a mistake". How about..........

>>"I must put it right, and I am prepared to do whatever it takes to do so."

So THAT'S where Drudge got his headline about Clinton resigning, which as we all know is the only way he could really put this all right.

Sounds like he'll do whatever it takes to make it right with his family. The rest of us can forget about it. JLA

But then he goes on to blame the law.........

In addition, I had real and serious concerns about an independent counsel investigation that began with private business dealings 20 years ago, dealings I might
add about which an independent federal agency found no evidence of any wrongdoing by me or my wife over two years ago.

The independent counsel investigation moved on to my staff and friends, then into my private life. And now the investigation itself is under investigation.

This has gone on too long, cost too much and hurt too many innocent people.

Yeah in one breath he takes the blame in the other he shifts it to the law. See he can have it both ways.
