Scott, management does deserve credit for cleaning up their act. I'd even speculate that they timed the equipt announcement to coinside with the 10Q to avoid too much speculation. I'd say GV is simply pointing out facts based upon information provided by the company. Given that mgmt has stated 3rd and 4th qtr income will be comparable with the 2nd, and that management is making a effort to avoid prematurly hyping deals in the works I'd have to say this stock is still overvalued (based on the 6mo outlook). With that I shorted at 11 3/4 and plan to cover at 8. Depending on what kind of picture I can draw of the future I can see possibly taking a long position around the end of the year at 5-7. I really want to get a feel for the outlook on the varrious business with growth rates and margins before committing. BTW I don't think the issue is liking a company or their technology, rather it's a question as to the current and future value of the company in relation to the market price. There are good and bad companies as well as overvalued ones and undervalued ones. Ones objective it seems to me is to utilize available information (perhaps a bit better than the adverage investor) and to profit!

<<GV, I find it very interesting that your new claim of the doom
and gloom will be low margin equipment sales.>>

Not a new claim at all. In fact, I have been focusing on the decreasing margins for a while now. It is just that you have refused to take off your rose colored glasses.

<< I really think you hate this company for some reason >>

No, I don't hate this company. (As a matter of fact, the new disclosure policy is something that I have welcomed, as it makes analysis much easier.) I have no emotional reaction to Presstek at all. Emotion has no business in the business of investing. Scott, if you are looking for emotional posts, you need look no farther than a mirror.
