Pezz, Sounds to me like your your disagreement about freeloading is just a matter of where to draw the line. Do you think that people that make $5k/Yr, $10k/Yr should pay taxes? Wouldn't you draw a line somewhere? ER

I will be glad to pay taxes on $18,000 instead of $50,000. If I want to cut back to $32,000 and not pay any, so be it. That is an incentive. I had a guy that worked for me on a contract basis.(15% self employment right off the top). He was making approximately 15,000 per year. He had 3 kids and a wife. He was having to pay taxes on that amount. What makes me mad is this, they would take his taxes and give them to someone who wasn't even working. He was busting his butt to give his money to freeloaders. He would have been better off to go on the dole and work odd jobs for cash. That is wrong! That is sending the wrong message. Let people keep their money up to a certain amount. $32,000, $25,000 whatever. But don't take money away from people who are barely making it.(3 kids and wife--believe me, he was barely making it) And certainly don't give it to FREELOADERS. That was my point. Tax exempt up to a certain amount sounds like the plan to me. Lets go for it. Using your logic, people on welfare should give some of it back so they can feel useful. What a bunch of baloney. alan w
