djane, Of course this article assumes that a LU acquistion of ASND will immediatly reap benefits. However, we all know that any aquisition has a transitionary (intergrating operations, consolidating product lines and product teams, feeling out each other, etc.) period which tyipcal is about a year. So, although I think LU/ASND will be a very tough competitor I think it's a bit presumptuous to assume that this merger would create pain for Cisco day 1. I'd say, assuming an Oct merger/acquistion, things will stay status quo until perhaps next summer. Gary (OG)
