I'll tell you this if they are successful in forcing many european and US speculators to cover shorts, those hedge funds will likely be forced to liquidate US and European stocks to meet margin calls... just the sort of forced selling required to get the ball rolling over here.

BTW- Japan has intervened in its stock mkt for years since it bombed, that's the only reason it never went back to 10000. Whether this will be seen as a success L-T, I don't know. Japan does look to have bottomed to me. Don't worry; we will probably be forced to do the same thing except we already have mountains of debt... interest rates are going MUCH higher in this country. If anyone reading this board owns bonds.... SELL.
