OK (Paunch,Robert,Charles,Ally,John), how are cheap hotdogs made ? Jafco posted: <<< ... a company recently in chapter 11, when they emerged the stockholders got... a 100 to 1 reduction in common shares. Lets hope IPM does much better.>>> For this example, with I think 20 million ipmcf shares out there, would this mean that for every 100 I hold, 99 would be taken away from me ? Or would I hold the same number, and at the same time for every one I hold, 99 more would be issued and given as payment for the IPM debt ? This second guess means that 2000 million ipmcf shares will be held, and I guess the word I hear "dilution" will be the word for that day. But if so, then its wacky time in my brain, since if there was 20,000,000 ipmcf shares at say .05, then if x100 is now issued, then the price should be .05/100 = .0005 = 1/20 penny. But the market will see this coming out of chapter 11 to CDN as a positive step, so the stock price zoomssssssssssssss to .05, which is where we is now, before the make-the-cheap-hotdog out of IPM. But wait, we is .05 now in bad state, and after medicine taken to pay off IPM debt and go back to CDN, we will still be at .05 ? Seems to me that ipmcf sharepricewise (chucatalk) we really didn't pay a price in share value to get out of chapter 11 thru dilution. If so, not a bad solution, this type of dilution. Might give cheap hotdogs a good name. (off topic) Go to food market and buy two cans of dog food, one the cheapest price and the other gormet expensive. The expensive made only from the areas of beef etc that after you opened the can you can see and smell that its "good" stuff. Now the cheapo can of dog food, made from those areas of the animals not many people would like to mention while eating. So, the two cans of dog food are both made from the same animal, for example 100% beef, the expensive gormet can from those areas most all of us eat from, and the cheapo one made from the places NOT. Now if you open both cans at same time, and smell each, you will say the gormet smells much "better", whereas the cheapo smells like you know "guts and stuff" and yuckie. But now set both opened cans on floor and let dog decide which smells best to him, and yes you are right, its no contest, the cheapo is the one the dog will eat. Also, excluding added vitamins and minerals, the cheapo dog food is better for you dog. So next time you see a tv commercial of a women putting gormet cat food into that champaing glass for her show cat, now you know that the cat never gets a good tasting and smelling satisfaction that that alley cat outside in the alley gets when it gets a mouse. The fancy cat, if could talk, would tell its owner "dump the gormet stuff and go outside and get me a live mouse". Doug, and cats are much better than dogs.
