Tim, I hope your right about HBOC since I went long the stock at $27.5 about a month ago ( check the HBOC thread ) on the day of the Inmet massacre acquisition. The main problem or obstacle to this position is that a lot of big blocks ( over 10,000 shares ) are being sold on the Fear that HBOC's growth is slowing. The last time I saw this type of Irrational Fear was with CSCO about 1.5-2 years ago. It went from $75 to $45 before it surged. That blown McKesson merger spooked some of the funds and momentum players. That was the Irrational Proof in the Pudding that Growth is slowing! How dare HBOC even consider merging with a company that is growing at half its own growth rate! I'm afraid it could take the rest of 98 ( or maybe the next earnings release ) to allay those fears.
