To start, nothing but the impending earnings announcement will move the price of TAVA to any sustainable level. The hype on this thread is unbelievable.

A look at both sides:

Short Side:
1. Embedded systems: most of these devices can't be `fixed' or "remediated", they require replacement or reprogramming by the OEM, or `tricks' in the software that control the devices.
2. Plant Y2Kone Software: an over-hyped inventory program
3. Plant Y2Kone Database: information one can get from the manufacturer.
4. 4MIL Debenture with all assets for the company as collateral. Warrants granted in 12/1998 and 7/1999.
5. Little if none Insider buying.
6. Prolific use of SEC 8-K for promotion
7. TMEX showing up just before the big increases begin. (I wonder who was selling at 6 7/8 today!)

Long Side:
1. Embedded systems: there are a lot of elevators, escalators, building controls and plant devices out there.
2. Plant Y2Kone Software: an industry standard (lots of F1000 companies)
3. Plant Y2Kone Database: Core business before Y2K was embedded systems.
4. 4MIL Debenture: easily paid off when the money comes in from reported contracts.
5. Little if none Insider buying. They have enough. they are buying houses and cars and gifts
6. 8-K's show a respectable client list
7. TMEX showing up just before the big increases begin.

Just some thoughts. I currently have no position in TAVA(I'm waiting for earnings)

Ok. I was short. covered for a 30%+ gain. Main reasons. Short side 1-6.
Reason for covering. Long side 6.
If I had known TMEX was gonna jump back in I would have gone long around 5 and covered for 7(his short term target)

I'm sure david sosiak will want to respond to this post. I ask you not to David, since all you will tell me is that I am a "Wexlar" or WexLIAR follower and I "have no idea what Tava is all about", you would be wrong on both.

But David posts such intelligent and well-reasoned commentary. He was the first to reveal that my real name is "John Lumbard", he also has secret information that TAVA is suing me and that the SEC is delegating all its resources to investigating me. David has studied TAVA's financials and accounting practices closely. David says we are only going up from here!!!

Wow.
