I got lucky (in some sense) with LSI. I bought the
October 17.5 calls when the stock was at 19.5 with about
3/4 point premium recently, instead of buying the stock.
These still have about a point of value with the stock at
this price. As long as one doesn't buy an excessive amount
of calls (buy close to the number of calls as shares you
would buy) this can virtually work as a defensive strategy.
After the stock settles down a bit, I might look at some
of the 15 calls. Then again, maybe I'll sulk with my current
holdings. Good luck all longs!
