Good point, but it would give Gore a shot to prove to folks he is presidential material at least...hard to predict exactly what would happen from there...but unless they find out that Gore was keeping watch out in the hall for Hillary while Bill and Monica were playing doctor/nurse games inside his office, it seems Gore has no part in this scandal and it would finally be OVER.

Ford made the mistake of pardoning a crook, if Gore pardons our fearless leader, he too will lose his re-election bid :)
