So we forgive him, then what?

He is suddenly effective in his job again?

'Hi my name is Bill and I'm here to welcome you to this $25,000 a plate democratic fundraiser'.

'Hi my name is Bill and I'm here to ask you to get out and vote for ..."

'Saddam, we are not going to tolerate any more delay in compliance with...'

....

Put his face and words on ANY current or future situation that has been reviewed in detail on this thread and you have disaster. You have a laughing stock.

It isn't about how he got here. The whole mess embarrasses us all.

It is about what we do about it. Ultimately, it won't be our decision. Unfortunately it may not be his either, but the outcome at this point will inevitably be the same. He'll be leaving. Not because of a stain, or a lie, or a conspiracy, or perjury, but because he has lost face. The point is that he has been 'rendered' ineffectual in a VERY effective manner.

Try this, go back to his last public speech that favorably impressed you and read it out loud. If you liked him before, did you still get that comfortable feeling that he is your president? Picture him delivering it tomorrow. I can't.
