that was a very helpful explanation of ACT. i have a couple of other questions though. (1)what system are the brokers most likely using when crosing their large orders against each other? (2)you mentioned "compare" does "compare" mean cross or is ACT only used in the accounting part of the transaction? (3)do they have to have a modifier on it when it is reported to the tape? (4)how can one utilize this information in a useful way for trading purposes? thanks in advance. *if anyone else wants to offer to this discussion then please do so. bazooka
