When you place an order now it automatically comes up open. No proccessing,no live order, just open. Placed order this morning showed as open didn't show up on ISLD so I guess its not open. My limit order to buy at the ask sat for 2min until stock passed me by. At this point my order should be represented on ISLD. Nowhere to be found. Oh well, it cancelled fast.

Anyone notice that orders placed after 15:59 on listed securities are not sent to NYSE. At least that's my conclusion. The status always says entered-day instead of the usual open, and there is never a fill, even if many trades took place from order entry time to 16:01 or 16:02 when I'm often filled on an order placed earlier (anytime before 15:59, like 15:58:59), even if it is a market or marketable limit order. I don't see why they do do this, because most of the marketable limit orders I place on NYSE listed stocks are filled in less than 30 seconds, usually less, time enough for an order placed at 13:59:10.

Anybody have similar or opposite experiences with orders place at this time? Anybody know why this policy, if indeed it is Datek's policy?
