Andrew, Re: what do you believe the chances are of seeing increased shipments of advanced mask making tooling equipment such as the Ultrabeam??? Actually, as UTEK has shipped exactly 1 tool in all of time so far, I think the chances are exactly 100% that we'll all see increased shipments of the V2000. :-) Probably even the 3 tools that Art said are being built (last conference call). While orders can be pushed out, I doubt that Art would actually start building tools of the V2000's costs without a relatively firm order in place. Thanks for your recent posts. I, for one, don't mind you communicating with whomever you choose. But I do like the General Lithography thread suggestion where I could at least lurk. Best wishes, Ian.

Andrew, I think things still look grim, that's for sure. <<Problems do not necessarily mean system functionality or capability. Problems include other things as well. I will not trash this stock in public nor will I falsely project a Mary Sunshine, all is well, attitude. The industry is in a downturn and everyone is feeling some pain. As this downturn becomes more protracted, you see further pushouts and cancellation of programs.>> These comments are appreciated and I agree with them. I am well aware of your past opinions on UTEK, i.e., your original post on the general litho thread. <<The Ultrabeam is in operation at PLAB but it has not been fully utilized due to the industry downturn. Therefore, it has not proven itself to be a workhorse.>> This is a great point, but knowing this why would one assume there is "bad news?" I associated your original comments with having to do with the functionality of Ubeam, after all we have all known the dismal performance of the sector for some time. Anyway, if you know of specific reasons why Ubeam will be less than expected, please share them. Thanks for all your posts and for the great contributions you have made to SI.
