Floods in China/ Gore not sitting pretty either

bloomberg.com

Bloomberg reports in expanded coverage elsewhere that the
Yangtze floods have "claimed more than 2,000 lives, made
13.8mm homeless and affected more than 240 mm people--
a fifth of China's population of 1.2 bln people. Analysts say
the economic cost could top $24 billion. And with more rain
falling in upstream Sichuan province, another flood crest
looks likely"

FWIW China unlikely to hit an honest 5% GDP growth this year IMO.
