CA News is very significant. The value of this order to Identix is much more than the $500,000 in hardware sales and upgrades. >>The order to Identix for the TP-600 systems and upgrades for DSS existing units is valued in excess of $500,000. Sylvan/Identix LLC will be compensated separately for providing the ongoing fingerprinting services.<< I believe that the State will own about 12 TP600s so the Sylvan JV won't get the full $35, but if we get $15 per click we would bring in $3 million in revenue per year from the 200,000 applicants. This should go a long way toward pushing the JV into the black and providing a valuable reference for future JV customers. This is exactly what Identix needs - another show piece for its biometric capability trophy case.
