Lel, thanks for your intelligent, concise explanation of key aspects of the Independent Counsel law. Perhaps you are wondering why nobody responded until now. It's simple: your post revealed that the Justice Department is simply going about it's business. Most here would rather speak in vague expressions such as "the President's enemies".

The rule of law is like a well built spider web. It's visible, though not overly intrusive. It takes a long time to build, with excruciating attention to detail. At first glance it may look fragile, but it is surprisingly strong. Just ask the reckless fly who heedlessly flew into it. Mr. fly struggles and struggles, but the tiny threads are very sticky! At the center of the web is a fat spider, who has been resting and still, but ever-watchful. Mr. spider has infinite patience. He and his web have been in this place for a long time. As Mr. spider watches Mr. fly struggle in his finely crafted web, he begins to stretch his legs and stir. Soon he will slowly move across his finely built web in the direction of Mr. fly. Then Mr. spider will produce more fine strong strands, and wrap up Mr. fly like a mummy.

Mr. spider is coming for Mr. Clinton.
